It almost seems contrary to the notion that people read less and typically just want to look at photos. So all the SEO Strategists and Gurus say that there is some magic number of words that Google ranks higher than others. Typically the recommendation is somewhere between 300 to 500 words a page, but where did this come from? Google doesn’t actually specify how long your content should be, they just advise that it be original and authentic. It is no secret, you can easily read about it on their Webmaster Guidelines. This isn’t to say there aren’t plenty of studies that prove that it is better to have more content. Plenty of studies indicate that it is best to have over 300 words. So how do you make the decision between more keywords for the search engine and less content for the benefit of the visitor/user. You don’t. The solution “Stylize”. If you make your writing easy to read people will. Studies have proven the majority of people don’t read, but scan. If your visitors can’t find the content they need quickly, they will just go elsewhere. So what can you do?
