How to prevent getting lost in the real estate shuffle

To say that real estate agents and brokerage firms are prevalent in developed areas would be an understatement. They’re everywhere, and they seem to be multiplying overnight. This makes it extremely difficult to stand out amongst the crowd, especially if you lack professional advertising.

Brokerage realty firms need to be open to unique suggestions and out-of-the-box ideas, and let the creatives be creative. Alternatively, you could always choose to be just another “knowledgeable and experienced” firm.

Copy matters.

It’s not just about what you say, but also how you say it. Every real estate agent and their mother (who may or may not also be an agent) proclaims that they’re experienced, knowledgeable, and any other favorite generic adjective. You can still say those things, but you need to do it creatively. Sometimes, that means not outwardly saying them at all. If you want potential consumers to know you’re knowledgeable, there are ways to do it without using the word knowledgeable. Revolutionary idea, I know.

For example, you could devise a campaign that informs viewers about interesting statistics, facts, and other relevant details pertaining to buying or selling a home in your area. They now see that you’re knowledgeable, and you didn’t even have to say it.

Think about it from the perspective of a potential client. Will they be enamored by your ad, or turn the page and forget that you exist? With the majority of advertisements in the real estate industry, it’s the latter.

Design matters.

Not only does your message need to be concise, but it has to be professionally designed and correctly presented to your audience. Your entire arsenal needs to work together, including: logo, website, postcards, emails, ads, and everything else. You can have great copy, but without proper design it likely won’t even be read.

Brilliant design can certainly differentiate you from the masses. Particularly competitors featuring logos crafted in Microsoft Paint, or lacking specific, uniform typography. If you don’t know what typography is, please give us a call.

Advertising matters.
