Make your 2017 Green
The pantone color of the year for 2017 — drum roll please — is called Greenery. You probably guessed it from the title of this blog, and if you are observant you’ve likely noticed that green is in. Though, don’t be fooled, Greenery is not your run-of-the-mill green. It is very vibrant, but it also feels natural. The Pantone team described it as “meant to inspire new beginnings.” Yeah, we can see that.
With this year’s tumultuous political landscape, we can’t say we are all too surprised that green has been a go-to color for most brands. Green is the color of nature which brings with it a sense of relaxation, stability, and health. While likely subconscious, it makes sense that we are gravitating towards a sense of tranquility. Green isn’t just a great color for taking us back to nature and providing a sense of relaxation, but it also allows for greater readability.
